What Is Tech Sovereignty?

Tech sovereignty refers to a country’s ability to control its digital infrastructure, protect and govern its data, develop its own technology ecosystems, reduce dependency on foreign tech monopolies, and safeguard national security in cyberspace. It does not necessarily mean isolation. Instead, it means strategic autonomy — the ability to choose partnerships without being digitally dependent.
